Tu Mando operates tumando.co using Shopify. This policy explains the personal information used to run our store, fulfil orders, provide aftercare and communicate with you. It also explains your choices. Tu Mando is responsible for the personal information it controls; Shopify and some other providers have their own responsibilities, described below.

Information we collect

• Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, telephone number, and billing and shipping addresses.
• Order and payment information: items viewed, added to a cart or purchased, payment and transaction records, and returns, exchanges or cancellations. Payment services process the financial details needed to complete a payment.
• Account and preferences: information used to maintain an account, remember your choices and record marketing or privacy preferences.
• Customer correspondence: messages and product information you send when asking for help.
• Device and site activity: IP address, browser and device details, cookie identifiers, pages visited, links used and interactions with our store or advertising.

We receive information directly from you, automatically through the website and similar technologies, and from providers and partners involved in payments, delivery, fraud prevention, analytics or marketing. The information involved depends on how you use the store and the choices available in your location.

Why we use it

• To process payments, deliver orders, provide tracking, handle cancellations, returns and the 5-year warranty, and answer your questions.
• To operate accounts, remember shopping preferences and improve the website and our service.
• To protect payments and accounts, investigate suspected fraud and maintain website security.
• To send service messages and, where permitted, marketing messages, measure advertising and provide relevant offers.
• To keep appropriate business records, meet legal obligations and resolve complaints or disputes.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract for orders and aftercare; legal obligations for required records and disclosures; legitimate interests for proportionate security, service improvement and business administration; and consent where required for cookies or marketing. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Who receives information

We use Shopify and other providers for store hosting, payment processing, shipping, communications, customer support, storage, analytics and security. Information is shared as needed for the services they provide. A carrier, for example, needs delivery details to bring you your order.

Advertising and analytics partners may receive identifiers, contact or transaction information, and browsing events where permitted by your choices and applicable law. This helps measure campaigns or deliver relevant advertising. Some of these disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing” or targeted advertising under privacy laws, even where no money is paid for the information. You can use the choices below to opt out where applicable.

We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so, in response to valid legal requirements, to protect people or the store from fraud or harm, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. A change in ownership does not remove your legal privacy rights.

Shopify's role

Shopify processes information to provide and maintain the store and checkout. Some Shopify features also use information from interactions across Shopify services and participating stores, for purposes such as security, service improvement and advertising. For processing where Shopify acts independently, its Consumer Privacy Policy describes its responsibilities. You can manage relevant Shopify choices through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies, advertising and your choices

Essential technologies help the cart, checkout, security and preference settings work. Other technologies support analytics, personalisation and advertising. Where consent is required, those purposes are subject to your consent choices.

Use Your Privacy Choices to access the store's available opt-out controls. Where a cookie preferences control is displayed, you can use it to change your choices. Browser settings can also limit cookies, though some store features may then work differently.

Recognised opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, are treated as an opt-out request where applicable law requires. A browser-based choice may apply only to that browser or device unless it can be linked to your account. Other browser “Do Not Track” signals do not have a consistent standard and may not be recognised.

Privacy during aftercare

We need order details and a description of a product issue to help with a return or warranty request. We do not require details or images of intimate use. Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, medical records or images of your body in a support message.

Contact and support information is used for the purposes described in this policy. A private message to customer care is not permission to publish your name, photographs or personal story in advertising.

Keeping information secure and retaining it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Access is limited according to the task being performed. No online system can eliminate every risk; contact us if you believe your information has been misused.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including completing an order, providing the 5-year warranty, meeting tax or accounting obligations, preventing fraud and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the record and the applicable requirement. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or receive a copy of your information; correct it; request deletion; transfer it; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. You may also have the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions, such as keeping records required by law.

Email sales@tumando.co to make a request or use Your Privacy Choices for an advertising opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Where verification is needed, we ask only for information reasonably necessary to confirm the request. An authorised representative may act for you as allowed by law.

We respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why and how to appeal where an appeal right applies. You can contact us with a complaint or raise it with your local data protection or consumer privacy authority. EEA residents can find their authority through the European Data Protection Board.

International processing

Shopify and other providers may store or process information in countries different from yours. Where required for transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, appropriate safeguards are used, such as recognised adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Contact us if you would like information about safeguards relevant to your data.

Adults only

Our store is intended for adults aged 18 or over, or the higher legal age required in their location. We do not knowingly collect information from children or knowingly sell or share the personal information of people under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Updates and contact

We update the date on this page when the policy changes and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. A policy update does not remove your existing privacy rights.
